Digital meltdown

When technology gets in the way of work

Poorly designed digital tools are one of the biggest sources of frustration in the workplace. Complicated systems waste valuable time, increase the risk of stress and exhaustion, and can ultimately contribute to a poorer working environment.

But many of these problems can be prevented before they happen.

By bringing managers, health and safety representatives, users and system developers together from the very beginning of a digital project, potential risks can be identified early – resulting in better usability and digital tools that actually work for the people using them.

For Prevent, we created a communication concept highlighting the everyday frustration caused by dysfunctional digital systems, while directing employers and employees to Prevent’s free checklists, guidance and practical tools.

The message was simple: digital tools should adapt to people – not the other way around.

Client: Prevent

Deliverables: Communication concept, campaign films, social media, digital advertising

Bringing digital frustration to life

For social media, we translated digital frustration into the physical world, turning glitches and system failures into colourful, tactile objects. The concept was combined with humorous short films capturing familiar moments of digital frustration in the workplace.
